MiDA provides advisory services to enable USAID to quickly access niche technical and financial
expertise to execute on investment support programs and opportunities.
Over the last four years, MiDA has led the implementation of USAID’s institutional investor
initiatives in Africa. In January 2020, we partnered with DAI INVEST to implement the USAID
Mobilizing U.S. Institutional Investment and Financial Service Exports in Africa Project. INVEST
leverages USAID funding and technical assistance in new ways to mobilize private capital.

Our partnership with the National Association of Securities Professionals (NASP) and the U.S.
Agency for International Development (USAID) originates from the USAID-NASP Investment
Partnership founded during the 2nd US-Africa Leaders’ Summit in 2016 under a cooperative

In support of USAID investment programs, NASP and MiDA co-manage the Africa Institutional
Investors Advisory Council composed of Trustees, Executive Directors and Chief Investment
Officers from some of the largest U.S. pension plans, insurance companies, endowments and

About KEPFIC
Kenyan Pension Funds Investment Consortium (KEPFIC) was established in 2018 by 6 Kenyan pension funds with the intention of co-investing. As of 2020, twelve local funds have joined KEPFIC, with another eight in the process of joining totaling about $4 billion in assets under management. MiDA, in partnership with the World Bank, played a pivotal role in the creation and structuring of the consortium and continues to provide advisory services and capacity support. Learn More
